Each year, SAPS (South African Police Service) learnerships are made available in each of South Africa’s provinces. Those interested in applying must do so inside their own province. The majority of SAPS learnerships will last 24 months and involve a monthly stipend. In each national region of South Africa, the police have multiple offices with precincts.
What is the aim of the learnerships offered by the South African Police Service?
The main aim is to assist in the filling of any future positions that may become available, as well as to provide safe and secure assistance to all. Candidates will gain knowledge of the causes of traffic accidents, road traffic signs, traffic and road laws, as well as criminal activities. Candidates will be involved in the coordination or development of crime prevention methods, as well as police operations and maintenance.
The Metro Department has developed significantly in recent years, but it is hoping for even greater growth and a stronger community cooperation in the near future. They assist in a variety of road problems, including community policing, illegal road usage, and more.
This program will teach students everything they need to know about criminal law, police ethics, and community policing in the context of all situations. A study training term as well as a field training period are included in the majority of SAPS learnerships.
